SUPERHEROES
There are no Superheroes
in God’s kingdom,
no card-carrying
cape-flying agents of change.
We are all the walking wounded,
we comfort with
the comfort we have received.
Our scars? Proof that we are human,
in need of a Saviour.
We minister to others while
in the process of healing.
There are no Superheroes in God’s Kingdom- those job descriptions
don’t exist!
“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; 2 Cor 3:5 KJV
“Not that we are sufficiently qualified in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency and qualifications come from God.” 2 Cor 3:5 AMP
“Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. 2 Cor 1: 3-4 AMP
The value we bring to the table, is that the world would see the effect of God’s work in and through our lives. Some of that work will be “work in progress”, nevertheless God specialises in producing fruit in us while the fruit is being formed. The Bible tells us in 2 Corinthians that our sufficiency is not of ourselves. Therefore, we need not shy away from areas, where we feel less than enough. It was never about what we could do in our own strength anyway. Do not be disheartened by the process. In the process – God does His work in us, so that we can do our work through what He does in us!
